If you’re looking for a church to visit, consider stopping by to see us us! Our Sunday morning services start at 10am
every week here in South Easton ,Massachusetts, and we'd obsolutely love to meet you! Give us a call, drop us an
email, or stop by for a visit...our doors are always open. May God
draw close to you as you seek to draw near to Him.
Over the past month, our church has been focusing in our sermons and conversations on the dynamic power of prayer. We've come up with a definition for prayer that relates God's power to electricity. Our new definition of prayer is "humbly inviting God to electrify us and those around us with His power". We have experienced the high-voltage power of prayer in our church and we continue to seek God through prayer on a daily and weekly basis. If you've never felt the power of God in this way through prayer, ask one of us about it and we'd be happy to show you what we mean.
Over the past few years, God has been clarifying these four key areas as our core values as a church. We have seen the importance of having deep, genuine connections between individuals and families, and we have worked to build stronger friendships and networking within our church and our local communities. The need for each person to "connect" on a meaning ful level with God and each other is something that we work hard to develop. and protect.
But it is not enough for us to merely have connections
with each other as a church... we are called to be more than just a
"social club" of good friendships... we are called to live
transformed lives through the renewing of our minds in the power of the Holy
Spirit. This need to "transform" from sinful individuals to
God-dependent Christians is something that is not optional in our minds. We
strive to teach, preach, and live the life changing message of Jesus Christ
every day of our lives. This transformation is what enables us to have hope and
to see God truly involved in our lives every step of the way.
Connections and Transformation must lead to growth however, or the initial progress will never develop into full Christian maturity. This is the Equip stage of our process. We seek to deepen our faith through the study of the Bible and our well established Discipleship Institute, knowing that the stronger our faith is, the more capable we will be to live out that faith in our lives.
And lastly, we don't just want to experience the benefits of a relationship with God by ourselves, we want to share our hope with those around us. We want to multiply our individual faith into a global faith. We believe we are called to "Love God, and love our neighbors" and so we make a deliberate effort to reach out and bless our communities and neighbors. It is our hope that our world will be a better place because of the influence we have had on it through the power of God.
If you would like to be a part of our connecting, transforming, equipping and multiplying, then please consider yourself personally invited to come and visit us and learn how to get on board with all that God is doing here at New Hope. We'd love to connect with you too!
Having been on many short-term missions trips in
the past as a church (including Mexico, Kentucy, Minnesota and Haiti), we are excited to
announce that God has opened the doors for us to go and serve in the ongoing hurricane
Katrina disaster recovery this coming August, 2008. A team of about 12
adults and teenagers will be traveling down to New Orleans to work for a week
doing whatever we can to assist in the gradual recovery from the hurricane.
It is part of our church's goal to not just serve in our local communities but to also
serve on a global level, and this trip is one which we have been looking forward
to for some time. Please continue to pray for the team going down, and if
you're interested in learning more about this trip or ones in the future, please contact us
and we'd be happy to give you some more information.
