Discipleship Workshops

Discipleship at New Hope Christian Chapel has always been of the highest priority. Jesus, in Matthew 28:18-20, said that “making disciples” is the central mission that His followers should have. We seek to pair men and women with teachers and mentors and friends who can walk with them through the study of the Bible, basic Theology, and foundational Christian principles. We have 4 primary courses in our curriculum that have been developed over the past 25+years and have proven to be immensely helpful to those looking to grow in their faith, learn to study the Bible, and to take the next step in their faith in Jesus Christ. These courses are adapted for children, teens and adults and anyone looking to learn and grow will find them a great tool in that process! Please feel free to browse through this course listing and contact us if you’d like to be considered for discipleship yourself! And may God bless you as you seek to draw closer to Him and gain a deeper knowledge through the special revelation of the Bible!  Feel free toClick Here to read more about discipleship at New Hope.

Hands of Hope Outreach

Hands of Hope is an outreach ministry of New Hope Christian Chapel that began back in 2010. New Hope desired to be more involved in the community and give more tangible and practical help to those around them, but there was no mechanism for these outreach projects to take place…no leadership, no structure, and no vision. It was to meet this need and in this spirit that Hands of Hope was initiated! Hands of Hope plans monthly outreach events in the local, South Easton MA, area and seeks to be a blessing to others and show their love for Jesus Christ through their actions. From visiting nursing homes to repairing aging homes to collecting food to cleaning up neighborhood streets…Hands of Hope does it all! Hands of Hope also does individualized projects as well, not wanting to overlook smaller needs as it looks for community-wide needs each month and each year. If you know of someone that could use a hand even in a small way, please contact us and let us see if we can help!

“Someone may say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” But show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do!” – James 2:18

Hands of Hope actually has its own website dedicated specifically to its mission that you can visit! (  It lists all the previous outreach events and has some teasers of upcoming projects and events. If you would like to lend a hand and help out in your community, check out the website to learn more or to get involved!  All ages are welcome, and no experience is necessary. All that you need is a love for God and a desire to help others in need!

Small Group Ministry

Small Groups are really the foundation for everything we do at New Hope. They form the vehicles for building strong friendships, discussing and wrestling with matters of Christian faith and practice, providing support to one another, and reaching out to the world. Small Groups are the means by which we pray that God will transform us and we will change our world.

Pastor Dave preached a sermon at one point called “The One, The Many, and The Few”. He challenged the church to realize that it is very difficult, if not impossible, to be completely obedient to Christ’s commands if we are either on our own (“the one”) or lost in a crowd of people (“the many”). Instead, it is primarily as we live among a small number of Christian friends (“the few”) that we open up, grow spiritually, are held accountable, and have the joy and support that we all need. We desire to help each person to find that closeness and effectiveness in their faith that comes through these small circles of friends looking to live out the Christian life together.

Our Small Groups all have the same four goals to guide them. Every group is challenged to: Connect, Transform, Equip, and Multiply. Connecting represents the friendships and family within the group members. Transforming points to our prayer that Jesus will be changing us from the inside out as a part of these groups. Equipping represents our desire to be learning about our faith and studying and increasing in our knowledge of God. And Multiplying stands for our intentional attempts to be a blessing to the world and make a difference in our community and the lives of the people around us. We feel that if we keep these four goals in mind, they will keep us balanced and effective as we seek to help build the Kingdom of God in our world.

Small Groups are exciting to us as we see God using them to help His people grow and to build His Kingdom. Pastor Dave has been quoted as saying, “Every success story that I can think of…every example of where God is transforming people’s lives, helping them find freedom from addictions or their pasts…they all seem to be occurring within these small groups of believers who are committed to growing together and loving the Lord.”

Music Ministry

Music is a big part of our weekly worship services as well as the culture of New Hope. We have a worship team that consists of various combinations of drums, guitars, keyboard, piano, vocalists, and other assorted instruments. The worship team’s purpose is to skillfully and humbly prepare contemporary praise and worship music each week that will stir the hearts and minds of our church as we worship together on Sunday mornings. There is much preparation and prayer that goes into each song played and each note sung…and we are blessed by amazing singers and musicians to help our church draw close to God emotionally each week. If you are a singer or instrumentalist and may be interested in joining with the worship team, please feel free to contact the church office, and perhaps even come and observe a worship team practice in person as well to see if it might be a good fit for you at New Hope.

In addition to our worship team’s contemporary music, we enjoy incorporating traditional, piano-led hymns within our worship services as well.  Between contemporary music, traditional hymns, seasonal choir ensembles, and special music pieces presented from time to time, we do our best to recognize and nurture our emotional connection with Jesus Christ each and every week. So, if you have any questions at all about these various musical ministries, feel free to contact the church office and we’d be happy to help!

Children’s Ministry

Every Sunday is can feel like we are practically over-run with young children at New Hope! It seems like at any given time there are several families expecting babies, and the nursery and Sunday School ministries always have their hands full on Sunday mornings when the kids arrive! Our children are taken great care of by our CORI checked staff and loving moms and dads in the classroom and nursery. There are several classes separated by age that each week learn more about God and faith and each other. We have wonderful teachers and parents who volunteer each and every week and we are truly grateful for their help! If you have children and would like more information on the specific classes and ages, feel free to contact the church office and we would love to help answer your questions!

Teen Youth Group Ministry

We have a great group of Jr/Sr High Teens and leaders at the Chapel!  There are weekly youth group meetings that have times of fun, games, food, prayer, and learning.  And there are retreats and events as well that are wonderful spiritual and relational experiences that create some long-lasting memories!  If you know of teenagers looking for a place to belong that is accepting, loving, encouraging, challenging, and fun…look no further!  Feel free to contact us to learn more!

Missions Ministry

New Hope has a long and rich history of outreach both locally and around the world. From the local needs that have been for food, help, repairs, service and prayer all the way to sending missionaries to China and Vietnam from our own congregation, we take seriously the Christian mandate to take God’s love to the world around us. We have sent short-term missions teams to Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Peru, Minnesota, and Haiti, as well as having supported full-time missionaries in Russia, Africa, Japan and Eastern Europe. We also actively support both Teen Challenge, and the New Hope Prison Ministry as well.  Both locally and globally, we believe in doing what we can to help those in need. Our church’s motto is, “people helping people to help people”, and it drives our desire to one another, to help the world around us, and to further God’s Kingdom on earth. If you desire to learn more about our foreign and/or local missions outreaches, or to get involved in an upcoming mission, please contact the church office and we’d love to talk more with you about how God can use you to bless those around you! May His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven!
