Our Beliefs

New Hope Christian Chapel is a non-traditional, interdenominational church centered on the basics of the Christian faith. Our theology is reformed, and we have the highest respect and reverence for God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Our services and approach to ministry are designed to be a bridge “between two worlds” as John Stott described, and help to apply the truths of Scripture to the world we live in today. We value truth, practical application, honest searching, and the insight of the Holy Spirit. Our gatherings are filled with love and laughter, and our caring is extended to all who attend.

Our Values:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the basis for real life, both today and for eternity.
  • Christians are meant to grow continuously in their devotion to Christ.
  • The Bible, God’s Holy Word, conveys the truth about life and is a major means for us to grow as Christians.
  • Life-change happens best through small group communities where discipleship and accountability occur.
  • Every Christian is a minister and is called to serve others. Christ calls each of us to reach out and love the lost and hurting world around us.

As an Inter-Denominational Church we Preach and Teach:

  • The Authority of Scripture: — “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16 [show] All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (ESV)

Our Relationship to Other Churches:

We are an independent, interdenominational church, guided by a Board of Elders. We are not affiliated with any one particular denomination. We are, however, a member of Vision New England and work with other community churches to share in our common faith and vision to bring the message of Christ to the world.
