Children's Ministry

Our Vision

To see all children wholly transformed into disciples who make disciples, whose identities are securely founded in Jesus Christ, and who boldly advance the Kingdom of God in their lifetimes.

Our Mission

To teach, disciple, equip, and love all children through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Values

  1. Each child is a unique individual created in the image of God.
  2. The authoritative Word of God is our greatest teaching text.
  3. Experiential learning is at the heart of growth, that children may learn to apply lessons practically and live out their faith genuinely.
  4. The gospel of Jesus Christ is our foundation for salvation, hope, and eternal life.
  5. Effective teaching and discipleship take place at the collaborative intersection of church and home.
  6. Intergenerational relationships are a defining aspect of Christian community and the Kingdom of God, where life is shared between children, youth, and adults of all ages.
  7. Child development theory serves as valid knowledge to help us encourage optimal development and meet children where they are at.
  8. Play is at the core of childhood experiences, learning, and development.

Our Sunday School

Each Sunday during our worship service, children are upstairs worshiping with their families for the first half of the service and are then invited downstairs to their respective classrooms during the preaching portion of the service. We have four classrooms, outlined below, where children are taught and served in a way that matches their level of development. Our classrooms are staffed by faithful, trained volunteers who have all passed a background check and who teach on a rotating basis. No children are required to go to Sunday School but, rather, always have the choice to either remain with his or her parents in the sanctuary or to join his or her peers for class downstairs. If you have any questions regarding care for your child(ren) at New Hope prior to your first visit, please contact Mikayla at youth@newhopechristianchapel.org.

Youth Ministry

Our Vision

To connect and inspire youth with the gospel so they may encounter Jesus, experience lifelong identity transformation, be equipped with Scripture, and find their places in the local church and in the world as servant leaders who multiply God’s Kingdom.

Our Mission

Encountering Jesus & discovering who God made us to be.

GROW

Our youth ministry serves children in 6th through 12th grades and exists to help them meet, explore, know, and love God and to encourage them to live in the way that God created and called us as his dearly beloved children. G.R.O.W. is our weekly youth meeting at the chapel and it stands for “Gather together; Read the Word; Own the truth; Walk the talk”; these are a few of the things that we strive to do as we meet together each week. All children in 6th - 12th grade are welcome. GROW is led by Mikayla, our Director of Children’s Ministries, alongside 4 other leaders who are committed to loving teens and pointing them towards Jesus.
